Susdal erinnert mich sehr an Rothenburg ob der Tauber, nur viel weniger touristisch.
Und tatsächlich ist das deutsche Mittelalter-Mekka die Partnerstadt.

Wir finden einen königlichen Stellplatz direkt am Kreml, mit Blick über die Stadt und das Flüsschen.
So sind wir mittendrin und doch umgeben von blühenden Wiesen.

Der Ort macht einen sehr entspannten Eindruck. Junge Familien spazieren am naturbelassenen Flussufer entlang. Die Männer reißen sich das Shirt vom Leib, springen heldenhaft in das braune Wasser und kraulen prustend durch die Seerosen, während die Frauen – mit schönen Kleidchen angetan – die Kinder im Auge behalten. Überall glitzern die goldenen Kirchenkuppeln um die Wette.

Diese Kleinstadt sollte man auf jeden Fall besuchen. Hier zeigt sich Russland von seiner schönsten Seite.
